Today I proudly launch my company Shamrock Information Security.
Why this name? Unmistakably the name has an Irish origin shrouded in Irish mystery, tradition and religious history.
But what does this have to do with modern day information security?
My more then 15 years background in information (IT) security is based on more then this area of expertise and actually encompasses in total three area’s:
- Information Security
- Privacy Law
- Risk Management
The shamrock or three-leafed clover was used by Saint Patrick to explain christianity to the Irish people. I have no Irish roots nor a religious background, but it is one of my favourite countries to visit and as my parents played lots of Dubliners tapes (original recordings) in the car when I was young, it isn’t hard to see where my Irish connection comes from.
Couple this to the fact that my work may force me to explain my area’s of expertise in a format that is easily understood and the link between the shamrock and my work may become visible for you as well.
The logo represents a stylish version of three layered Shamrock’s , offset from each other to signify my three distinct but yet complementary fields of expertise.
